Plotting, Planning, & Tripping (part 1)

As the wheels of life continue to turn and new road bumps and pot holes appear, if you have bad shocks, life is gonna offer a pretty rough ride. Luckily, our van has a good suspension, and so do we.

It has been a few days since the last post and quite an interesting few days it has been. Long story short to catch up, we came back from Felicity and Vegas. Realized we forgot some things, go figure. Had a hiccup with getting the house rented. After finding some last minute renters, which was surprisingly easier than anticipated to take over the house, we now finally have a real timeline sort of. Yes! Process, I’ll take it! We also just purchased a bike tow hitch to attach to the van so now we can bring our bikes along which will be pretty helpful if we wanna leave Wookie in the van and go somewhere local…cat free.

We have also successfully chosen our first couple stops of the trip. So far the stops are only up to Montana, but it is shaping up to be a good amount of stops at cool locations along the way. The hard part is figuring out what makes the cut and goes in the van. Downsizing is easier said than done. I’ll say it again just to prove my point. Downsizing is easier said than done. See, I said it twice and haven’t increased any space in the van. Just saying, it’s worth taking note of.

The ride of choice for our trip, a 1995 Dodge Conversion Van, is a whole other topic together, and it is going through a transformation right now to become… I’m not sure what, but something more suitable for our plans. It’s a great van and we aim to try and make it even better with 2018 technology, I’ll be sure to post about that process as well. Plus, lately we’ve been eyeing some other pieces to this puzzle. It’s too early to talk about but in a week or two the puzzle will be revealed. Look at me, I sound like some fortune cookie. I don’t know, maybe I’ve said too much, maybe I’m just rambling. You’ll have to check back for the updated post to really know lol.
